A Survey Says.com

I’ve been using Wordle.net a bit. It’s a great little visualisation tool that quickly gives you a flavour of the meaning of text.

For example one can get something useful out of the copious amounts of comment spam that had built up on this blog from various spammers. One presumes spammers write stuff that will not only get posted and get through spam filters but also that has a chance of being clicked on. In theory it will show what people are likely to click on therefore..

So, I took 80 comments and chucked the text into wordle.net to get the image below. It shows the web is still very visual - lots of links for pictures, free stuff, layouts and so on.

“Bob” was surprisingly high though…? And I have no idea what mugen is…(and frankly I’m too scared to look it up on a work computer)..I guess it’s plausible that someone posting 880 spam comments on my blog could have made a spelling mistake in one or two of them..

But basically “free NUDE pictures” is coming out loud and clear! And who says the internet is a waste of time..
